Jessie Radowitz, M.A.

she/her

Hi, I’m Jessie!

I am an executive function coach and former elementary school teacher. I began my teaching career in 2009 in a first grade public school classroom. Eager to further develop my teaching philosophy and deepen my commitment to teaching for social justice, I moved to New York City where I received my Master’s in Curriculum and Teaching at Columbia University, Teachers College. I then spent eight more years teaching in Quaker schools in San Francisco and Philadelphia.

Throughout my time in the classroom, I observed that when my students had the opportunity to hone their executive function skills, they thrived in school. This realization has made me passionate about the impact executive function coaching can have on a child’s life. I have since transitioned from classroom teaching to focus exclusively on helping children foster the skills to become joyful, independent, life-long learners. Much of my coaching approach is inspired by the work of authors Peg Dawson and Richard Guare, whose seminar and certification program I completed in the Spring of 2023.

I live in Philadelphia with my husband, our spirited preschooler and delightful new baby. When I am not coaching, I am often found tending to our tiny urban garden or walking on the Schuylkill River Trail thinking about the importance of preserving childhood.

My Approach

Strengths-based & Child-led

My approach is respectful and nurturing. I will follow your child’s lead, build upon their existing strengths and always seek to increase their autonomy.

Inclusive & Compassionate

When we feel welcomed, safe, and seen, our brains can do their best work. My coaching practice is inclusive of all identities, judgement-free, and caring.

Neurodiversity-affirming

Every human has a unique executive function profile. I value and delight in the natural variation of our brains and am committed to challenging existing notions of normalcy.

Collaborative

Creating meaningful partnerships is what makes coaching effective. I am eager to collaborate with you and anyone else who knows and loves your child— a teacher, therapist, learning specialist, or caregiver. Raising children is a team sport.
